Crafting a Legacy of Unique Flavors

Hook Ones is committed to good food, cooked well, using open flame. I cut my teeth learning to cook in the firehouse where everyone was your worst critic and being a great cook was key to survival. Many a story was shared at the table over amazing food that brought us together as a family.

It was this experience that taught me food and family is the key to an enjoyable life. We are passionate about our style of food which is based in central Texas offset cooking but expands to all styles of open flame cooking.

We would love to serve your family during your most important moments.

Why is the Name Hook Ones?

I come from a military family. My father was an Air Force pilot in Vietnam. My Uncle was a Screaming Eagle in Vietnam. My Grandfather was in World War II in the Navy. And I held up the tradition in the Marine Corps.

Hook Ones was my father’s pilot call sign. Pilot call signs almost always originate from a member of a pilot's squadron. It's considered bad form to make your own call sign. While the origins of an aviation call sign can be varied, many play reference to the aviator’s surname, personality traits or past feats during the pilot’s career.

Our family name is Jones. The J in Jones looks like a fishing hook. Hence the name Hook Ones; J and the ones.

We are steeped in service at Hook Ones BBQ. Service to our country and customers. BBQ brings families together and we are here to serve your family.
